This week has been crazy, but so fun! It started off with a food truck festival downtown where my friend Morgan and I snacked on ice cream sandwiches (see below) and sausage-stuffed baguettes. Delicious! Then a jam-packed workweek included some spinning with coworkers for Bike to Work Week. I’m also getting ready for a wedding this weekend and I’ve been stressing over what to wear. I’m currently deciding between two dresses (this one and this one) I ordered offline from Nordstrom. What do you think? I’m still working on shoes and accessories for both and the wedding is Saturday – oops. Anyway here’s whats been on my radar this week.
The Bachelorette season premiere is only a few days away and I cannot wait! One of my favorite parts of the Bachelor/Bachelorette is the community surrounding it—the live-tweets, the weekly viewing parties and bachelor brackets all make the show so much more fun because you’re sharing it with the rest of Bachelor Nation. And if the first thing you do Tuesday morning isn’t gossip with your friends and coworkers about last night’s episode you’re doing it wrong.
Typically I live-tweet episodes, because I can’t resist joining in on the fun, but I’m thinking I may start a weekly Bachelorette recap blog post Tuesday mornings including my thoughts on the episodes, favorite guys and predictions for winners. Thoughts?!
Generally I wear lipstick once in a while and usually it’s a bold red or a bright poppy. But I recently received a sample of Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in the shade ‘Get Ready’ from Ulta with a purchase so I’ve been trying it out. And I’m loving it. The color is such an easy, wearable pink, it’s like a shinier, natural lip, and it’s the perfect way to add a little something extra to an outfit. The formula is moisturizing, creamy and applies super easily with full coverage and a satin finish. I’ll be buying the full size in a few colors for sure.
Think Thin Bars
I know this is probably a random item to be loving right now but I seriously am. I’m obsessed with these, I have at least one a day. Sometimes I just want to eat them for dinner too (but that could also just be my laziness talking). Brownie crunch is my favorite flavor. These bars are great because they keep me feeling full, contain 20 grams of protein and have 0 grams of sugar (most protein bars are loaded with sugar).
